Paul explains the secrets behind delivering a fantastic sales experience for our customers.

Approaching 20 years with the Dick Lovett Group, Paul joined the motor trade after training in Hotel Management. His love of cars started at an early age when he could recite car specifications. This, combined with a love of interacting with people, led him to choosing a career in the motor trade and ultimately as a Sales Executive within the Dick Lovett Group.

A high level of customer service has always been Paul’s ethos, with him being personally rewarded by BMW UK for his achievements. Paul and the Sales Team at Dick Lovett BMW in Hungerford have been ranked No.1 in the country on the BMW Customer Service Program. Paul tells us the secrets behind this success:

“My philosophy has always been, if you do what you say you’ll do, then you will keep customers happy. Over-promise and under-deliver and you will only cause problems and leave the customer dissatisfied. People buy from people!”

“To try to highlight one instance of A1 customer service is difficult as I strive to achieve this with every customer. Every customer is different and everyone needs to be treated as an individual.”

“To quote one of my returning customers who had briefly gone to an alternative franchise: “The whole reason I am coming back is because you take the problems away.” If your main motivation is to do a good job for the customer and the company, you can’t go wrong!”

Throughout his employment at Dick Lovett, Paul has been lucky enough to have some memorable experiences, such as driving a brand new BMW 320d from Monte Carlo, back through France to the UK. He has also had some exhilarating experiences, such as being driven around the Brands Hatch race circuit by a World Touring Car Champion!

Following a very serious motorcycle accident, having only been with the company for 11 months, Paul witnessed first-hand the high level of support from both the management and his colleagues. Something for which he is very grateful:
