Key responsibilities

Here are just a few things the Service Team at Dick Lovett is responsible for:

  • Delivering a great experience for our customers who are in for servicing and repairs
  • Booking vehicles into the workshop
  • Completing repair orders
  • Communicating any required repairs to our customers and keeping them updated
  • Working collaboratively with the Workshop team to ensure all tasks are completed to the agreed time scales
  • Administration tasks associated with the role
  • Taking payments
  • Liaising with other departments within the dealership such as Parts and Sales to ensure the customer’s visit ticks all of their boxes

There is room for progression in the Service Department, after developing your skills and working independently, you can become a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor and even go on to becoming the Service Manager!

If you are passionate about working with people, an Apprenticeship in Customer Service in the Automotive industry would be a fantastic place to develop your skills.

As an Apprentice Service Advisor, you work towards gaining your NVQ Level 3 Qualification over the course of two years. As well as completing off-site college courses, you will work on-site at one of our dealerships with the Service team to learn first-hand how to become a Service Advisor.

Working in one of our dealerships, you will learn from our talented Service Teams to ensure that our customers receive first-class customer service, and will continue to do so long into the future.
