Vacancy description

Do you have a keen interest in people and would like to drive your career forward with one of the most prestigious and successful family-run Automotive Groups?

If your answer is a resounding “Yes” then we want to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing
What won’t you be doing would be easier to explain! Your job as a vital member of our busy Personnel Team will be to assist them in their mission to complete all of the administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner. The team work at pace and you will be watching, listening, asking and growing into this generalist Personnel role. You’ll need to have a thirst for knowledge, the ability to multi-task like you wouldn’t believe and a sponge-like mind so we don’t miss a trick!

Duties will include:

  • Assisting with recruitment
  • Processing sickness absence
  • Supporting Advisors with administrative duties including contract writing
  • Assisting with on-boarding, new starter and leaver processes
  • Attending recruitment events
  • Co-ordination of hospitality for training and meetings held at the Depot

What experience you’ll need
First and foremost you’ll want to work within a fast-paced environment. You will approach your work with a positive ‘what I put in I will get out’ mentality. Results come from making a difference, so you’ll need to immerse yourself into the team, the automotive industry, our systems and strive to be adding value from the off. We’re in it together - you’ll be learning from a Personnel Team who will support you every step of the way in return for your commitment and desire to succeed.

It goes without saying that you’ll need to have a natural interest in all things people. You’ll demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, sound communication skills, possess an excellent telephone manner and have a genuine desire to work within the Dick Lovett Group. Strong administration skills are essential but not necessarily from a Personnel background. If you are starting out on your Personnel journey, we would love to hear from you.

We look forward to hearing from you.

We’re fortunate to receive a large response to our adverts every week. You’ll never receive an automated response from us – it’s something that we find too impersonal – and whilst we try to respond to every email, the amount of applications we receive sometimes makes that difficult. Therefore, if you don’t hear from us within 14 days, this means that unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please be assured we read every single one and if we think you might be relevant for a future role, we’ll keep your details on our file, and will arrange to contact you should a suitable vacancy arise in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any feedback. Thank you.
